A large group of Islamic scholars recently held a conference that the liberal press has quietly buried. Its theme was the total destruction of Israel. The cabal is comprised of approximately 700 Islamic scholars hailing from 80 countries.

The proposed amendments to the South African Schools Act will have a major impact on the independence of schools. Governing Bodies will lose almost all their powers with regard to pupil admissions, the school’s language policy and the appointment of teachers. Schools will simply be nationalised to become state institutions, which will result in major service delivery problems, schools becoming affirmative action targets, and overall decay setting in.

Parents and teachers have until Friday 10 November 17 to comment on the draft Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Bill which proposes to take away powers from School Governing Bodies (SGBs) and choice from Home Schooling families. It would increase your tax, raise school fees and increase costs and administration home educating.
