The Status of the Embryo

Christian Medical Fellowship
2015

If the embryo is nothing other than ‘human tissue’ then clearly it is expendable, but if it is ‘a human being with potential’ then it should be treated with the utmost respect. The issue is controversial even among Bible-believing Christians, but if there is doubt then surely we should give the human embryo the benefit of that doubt (Rom 14:23). Here are some of the common arguments raised by secular philosophers and biologists along with possible ways of countering them:

by William F. Jasper
16 January 2010

Hillary ClintonPresident Obama and Congress may be wrangling still on major issues in the nationalized healthcare legislation — abortion coverage, rationing, end-of-life counseling … and how to pay for it — but the administration, nevertheless, has announced its intention to push forward with a $63 billion global ObamaCare plan. With little media fanfare or coverage, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced on January 8 that the Obama administration had recently succeeded in supplying “more than $648 million in foreign assistance to family planning and reproductive health programs worldwide.” And she said another $63 billion is on the way, courtesy of Obama’s Global Health Initiative.

The Devaluation of Life

by Jeremiah Project

“Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father´s role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts — a child — as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience.
