There are some in various Churches today who teach that God is finished with the Jewish People. It it’s mild form, this unbiblical teaching leads to a false pride by Gentile Christians, and neglecting to share Messiah Jesus with the Jewish people. So, to balance that, we present this selection of Christian leaders, Reformers, Puritans and famous Evangelists, who read their Bibles and despite diverse theologies, recognize God’s everlasting love and concern for His Jewish people.

All in all early Christianity, spearheaded by the early Church fathers, began to view Judaism as inferior to Christianity and Jews themselves as evil and cursed, unworthy of mercy and love. In essence, a Jew was regarded as worse than a pagan.

The hyper grace crowd preach the glorious truth of justification by grace alone, but then overlook the hundreds of imperatives found in the New Testament which urge these newly justified believers to work out this wonderful salvation by growing in obedience and holiness – sanctification in other words.

“This is the day of excusing sin instead of purging sin. An entire school of thought has developed justifying sin within the church and trying to prove that sin is perfectly normal, and therefore acceptable” – A.W. Tozer

Jesus taught his disciples that in the last days, a time of mass delusion will come upon the earth. This is not only happening in the world, but it is happening in the church as well. It is shocking to see that doctrines and values formerly held sacred are now being discarded. Many Christian leaders today have replaced the reading and study of Scripture with having spiritual experiences or what Jesus referred to above as signs and wonders. In effect, multitudes of Christians are being led to believe that if they can have some type of spiritual experience or witness a miracle, that will bear more validity than the words of Scripture itself.

In an age in which discernment is viewed as a vice and gullibility as a virtue, there is a price to be paid if one decides to be “picky” about what to believe and how to live.

For a couple of decades there has been a big push by numerous evangelical leaders to incorporate pagan practices into the visible Church. These unbiblical practices have their origins in Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, likewise the New Age movement. Through the writings of Thomas Merton, Basil Pennington, William Menninger and Thomas Keating these practices have been introduced into mainline Protestant churches as well as independent, nondenominational, charismatic and Pentecostal churches.

So how should we view Mr. Lewis? His ability to cut through the intellectual clouds and offer insightful analysis of human nature and our relationship with God perhaps has no equal. On the other hand, he was no evangelical. His theology is deficient at best in the key areas of Scripture and salvation. He believed in neither sola fide nor sola scriptura, the two battle cries of the Reformation. Those who read him must keep these things in mind, filter his teaching through the grid of Scripture and hold him to the same standards that we are to hold all others.

There are many struggles and challenges we face on the way to growth and maturity in our calling. The Lord has brought me through many such trials. With it has come understanding that I wanted to share with you. These secrets will help you enter into a settled and restful state of heart, where you are no longer striving. I hope they are a blessing to you, for they are written out of the pain of my own journey to maturity.

In the Roman Catholic worldview global ecumenism is a tool that is being used in order to absorb all other churches, Christian movements, and denominations. All around the world, ecumenical movements and numerous religions are slowly joining with the Church of Rome. All are warmly embraced through “dialogue” except biblical Christians, who believe in justification by faith alone. The Roman Catholic Church refers to Christians who believe this as “Separated Brethren” who need to “come home to Rome” (i.e., Roman Catholicism).
