In sharing the Gospel with the world, I would be remiss if I didn’t share what happens to those people who die without having accepted Jesus as their Savior and so continue on the path to judgment. What’s going to happen to them? Those people who have died never having accepting Jesus’ salvation have a different destination from Heaven entirely.

If we are to buy a house, we will spend days, if not months, to learn more about the house. We endeavor to learn almost everything about the house before we commence our life in it. We leave no stone unturned while studying about our new home on earth. Similarly let us leave no stone unturned before we commence our life in heaven.

The demons/fallen angels are enemies of God, but they are defeated enemies. Christ has “disarmed the powers and authorities,” and He has “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross”. As we submit to God and resist the devil, we have nothing to fear.

Where will you go when you die? The world is full of people who believe they will go to heaven. Tragically, churches are also full of people who believe they are going to heaven. The truth is….heaven is one of two possible places people go when they die. The other place many people go when they die is hell.

I believe there is a portion of Christianity worldwide who would gladly trade this old world for heaven in a split second. I also believe there is another portion of Christians who are quite content with things as they are – thank you very much. Why is this the case?

The very word ‘hell’ is often replaced by friendlier phrases such as ‘separation from God.’ Although this description of hell is accurate, it lacks punch for those who know little of God’s goodness, holiness, and hatred of sin. To them, separation from God may seem like freedom from a domineering spouse or parent. Why fear that?

It is amazing to think that some people actually believe they are good enough to get into heaven. Perhaps it is because we read so much bad news in the papers about others that we are quick to conclude that by comparison we are superior, and so deserving of a place in eternity.

Not now while you’re healthy, life is good and death seems so far off and remote. But as sure as the sun rises, your end will arrive, and so much sooner than you think.
